A rare Heer ordnance officer's sabre. Made by Alexander Coppel, Solingen.
The sabre has a nice clean blade. "AC Alexander Coppel Solingen" maker marked. Furthermore, an acceptance mark to the back of the blade as well as "2" numbered on the underside.
Gilded brass hilt fittings. It contains also an acceptance mark to the reverse. The leather loop for the finger is in place. Black celluloid grip with an intact wire wrapping. No chipping.
The crossguard comes with two acceptance marks and "7912" numbered as well as "AC/G" marked to the bottom. Professional black repainted scabbard. Probably period time. It comes with the same marks as the sabre (number matching). No dents.
