An early nickel silver (Neusilber) 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger. So-called "Borddolch". Made by SMF, Solingen.
Dark blue leather finished grip with an intact wire wrapping. Pommel and crossguard display the typical sun wheel swastika on each side. Nickel-plated steel blade. "SMF" maker marked. Pitting to the upper area (below the crossguard). The rest of the blade is in good condition.
Dark blue leather finished scabbard with tombak fittings. No dents, however, the leather is partially damaged. Including the matching chain. The "large" ring at the end of the chain, which holds the center fitting, was replaced.
Untouched and entirely matching.
Apart from the damaged scabbard leather in good condition.
