VIEW DESCRIPTION

All items belonged to the brothers Fritz (12./Jagdgeschwader 1) and Dietrich (German Cross recipient) Koch (7./Nachtjagdgeschwader 1). Please see other items available in this catalog and the last pictures (for reference online) for pictures of Fritz Koch's funeral.

Luftwaffe officer's dagger to Dietrich Koch.

Nickel-plated steel blade with the maker's mark of Richard Abr. Herder, Solingen. Stains on both sides. White handle with wire wrapping. It has a fine stress crack on the top. Aluminum handle fittings. The scabbard (magnetic) is free of dents.

Signs of use. Good condition 2.

Dietrich Koch was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 16.08.1943 as Feldwebel of 7./Nachtjagdgeschwader 1.
