A textbook example of the Kriegsmarine officer's dagger. Made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. In this mint condition an absolute rarity.
Beautiful double-sided etched blade showing fine ornaments and naval motifs. White handle with intact wire wrapping. The fittings and the "lightning" scabbard are made of brass. All parts with perfect gilding. Including the officer's portepee and Eickhorn maker's tag (metal).
With the matching dagger hangers. Nice gilt aluminum fittings. All snap clips are fully functional. Furthermore the paper bag of issue and wrapping paper. The front of the bag shows the company logo of Eickhorn and the lettering "Offizier-Dolch MARINE". "1671" numbered.
Apart from the paper bag, everything is in mint condition.
