The blade shows the etching "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit", flanked by a Luftwaffe eagle and airplane. Darkened etching is still mostly present. Reverse shows 1935-41 era Carl Eickhorn logo. Some minor glide marks appear on the blade.
Black Bakelite grips on the handle are clean and the nickel shows some marks and pits Scabbard which is free of dents has been repainted since issue.
