Nice clean blade showing the maker's mark of Max Weyersberg WMW, Solingen etched with large Wehrmacht eagle and instribed "Zur Erinnerung and Meinem Dienstzeit" along the fuller. Etched area was originally blued for contrast which is now about 50% present
Black bakelite grip plates. No chipping. Nickel-plated handle fittings with some minor toning and slight pitting on the crossguard. Red felt remains in the lug slide. Original black painted steel scabbard which is free of dents. Comes with an original bayonet knot indicating it belonged to a field police NCO.
