Wehrmacht Heer EM/NCO-pattern, visor-cap (ie. 'Schirmmütze') as was intended for usage by a soldier who served within the infantry troops ('Infanterie-Truppen').
The piece is executed in (typical) 'smooth-type' field-grey-coloured wool (having the white-coloured- and woolen-type piping attached) and shows a beige-yellowish-coloured (and 'silk-like'-type-) lining and 'Celluloid'-based diamond, installed. This diamond is totally undamaged and just shows an installed name-indication-strip that reads 'Uffz. Egon Kern'. Next to this does the lining show a makers'-mark that reads: 'Deutsche Wert Arbeit' (as can be seen on the pictures).
The cap shows a 'standard'-pattern, silver-coloured- and aluminum-based cap-eagle and dito visor-cap-cocarde in place (which are both very detailed and which are firmly attached). The sweat-band is also fully intact and nicely preserved. The cap comes with its undamaged (and beige-backed) visor and (period) leather-based cap-strap ('Sturmriemen') in place.
The cap - which has retained a beautiful shape ('Sattelform') - comes in an overall very nice condition and shows hardly any age nor wear. It is approximately 58 cms. sized and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head. Minor moth bites.
