A very nice example of a Third Reich Gendamerie visor cap with some story to tell. The cap was issued with the correct brown band however it has period time received a dark green band above. This cap might have been worn by policeman and later Feldgendarmerie soldier which could be the reason for changing the band.
Bright colors and nice shape. Orange piping. Rather late zinc cap eagle and wreath badge. EM/NCO chin strap. Wartime tailored cap by Albert Schweizer, Bayreuth,. Nicely maker marked. No cracks to the diamond. A great BREST DEUTSCHE WERTARBEIT sticker to the liner. One crack to the sweat-band. Minor moth damage.
