Luftwaffe visor cap EM/NCO

Description

All items belonged to the brothers Fritz (12./Jagdgeschwader 1) and Dietrich (German Cross recipient) Koch (7./Nachtjagdgeschwader 1). Please see other items available in this catalog and the last pictures (for reference online) for pictures of Fritz Koch's funeral.

Personal Luftwaffe visor cap for EM and NCOs worn by Fritz Koch serving with 12./Jagdgeschwader 1. Unlike an officer's cap which was always worn with a silver bullion piping, EM and NCOs had a colored piping that indicated the branch they were serving for.

A nice and "salty" cap in untouched conditino.

Branch: Flying troops. Yellow piping.
Insignia: A alumimum cap eagle and wreath badge. All prongs in place.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Correct buttons period time attached.

Lining: Orange linen
Celluloid diamond: removed to allow a more confortable wear.
Sweat-band: signs of wear.

No moth damage. Nice patina!
