A choice M1942 German late war combat helmet. The helmet is a late « hkp68 » with a lot number of « 3492 » . The helmet's exterior is in near mint unissued condition. Featuring over 99% of its factory applied semi textured feldgrau paint. The helmet is in excellent near mint condition. The split pins are tight and fully retain all their factory paint. The helmets interior is near mint. Choice bright tan almost yellow leather liner. Supple, complete with drawstring in a slight yellow color and crisply stamped with the size « 60 ». Chinstrap is unmarked and supple. Choice even for the most discerning collector.
