Fantastic Heer M40 single decal helmet. The helmet was factory painted with a "rough" field-grey paint. The painted hasn't done a very accurate job which makes this helmet very special due to its tears.
Nearly unworn condition with its original applied size 55 marked leather liner. The prongs of the unopened rivets are still absolutely flat. Fine original chin strap. The marking is hard to read but could mean "43". Lot number visible to the reserve of the helmet, however, no maker's mark due to the thick rough paint.
Excellent eagle decal. Paint and decal are about 95%.
