Personal M40 helmet which belonged to Oberleutnant Richard Ring serving with Artillerie-Regiment 161. Please see other items to Ring available in this catalogue.
M40 helmet which was issued with a single decal. Ring wears exactly the same helmet on the photograph and it still shows the eagle decal. The helmet was then repainted in the field later in war and the decal was covered. You can see tiny bits of the decal undeneath the paint left. Large bits would also have been worn off.
"Ltn. Ring" named to the reverse. EF64 marked to the shell. Including a soft size 57 marked leather liner and the original rivets. Soft maker marked (unreadable) chin strap.
