SS sleeve eagle

Description
Very nice Waffen-SS officer's sleeve eagle to SS-Hauptsturmführer Pausch. A rare machine-woven so called "flatwire" type. No mothing or corrosion. Taken off his uniform. Black threads left.
 
Slightly worn. Condition 2+
 
This eagle could go back to his time as "Schutzhaftlagerführer" of Außenlager Gusen II (Mauthausen). Please see his flatwire officer's collar tabs of this time.
 
SS-Hauptsturmführer Max Pausch was born on 22.4.1894 and served during WW1. 
SS number: 54021. NSDAP: 1440350. 
 
1935-1939 - band leader III./SS-Standarte "Germania"
1940-1941 - SS-Regiment "Nordland"
1941-1943 - SS-Ers.Btl. 5 "Wiking"
1944 - serving with a musician in Berlin
1944-1945 serving as Schutzhaftlagerführer of Außenlagers Gusen II 
 
Pausch was a US POW and sentenced to death at the so-called "Dachau / Mauthausen Folgeprozesse" on 22.10.1947. He was hanged on 12.11.1948 in Landesberg prison.
