Heer field tunic for officers

Description
Out of the woodwork! This tunic was never available on the market! We found original documents inside the pockets haven't seen daylight since 1945!

Wartime privately tailored field tunic of Leutnant Otto Schnitzlein serving with Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 508. Schw.Pz.Abt.508 was one of a rare TIGER tank units!

The tunic was found with two other tunics and one vest inside a cardboard box hiding in an old house. He wears artillery insignia but definitely served with Panzer-Abteilung 508 as proven by a fieldpost letter sent to him.

Fine silk lining with a ERNST MÜLLER BERLIN tailor's tag. Attached dagger hangers.

Complete and original attached buttons showing full color. Original hand-attached officer's breast eagle. Machine-attached collar tabs.
Nice Artillerie Leutnant shoulder boards sewn in with crossed cannons cyphers.

Minor moth damage if you look closely. No real moth holes.
Medium size.
Condition 2.

A personal card "Otto Schnitzlein - Fw. im Frw. Dst." (Feldwebel im Freiwilligen Dienst) as well as a 2.2.44 stamped Feldpost letter send to him. Feldpost number: 14488A. This number tells us this unit: Panzer-Abteilung 508.
