A fantastic M43 field tunic worn by an Obergefreiter serving with the infantry. The solider was highly decorated with an Iron Cross 2nd Class, most probably an Iron Cross 1st Class, Infantry Assault Badge and a Wound Badge. There are three pair of loops with clear signs of wear to the left breast pocket.
All buttons are complete and all look to be period time attached. The machine-woven breast eagle is 100% period time attached. The top part is attached by hand, the bottom part by machine. The collar tabs are attached machine. The tunic comes with slip-on shoulder boards. White piped infantry type for EMs with silk piping.
Hand-attached Obergefreiter rank badge. Typical grey silk lining. No markings. Including a field dressing and the belt hooks.
