Description

Prussian forestry dagger, so-called "Hirschänger". Worn by a member of the Garde du Corps regiment.

A three-side etched blade with hunting motifs and ornaments. Stains and light pitting. The hilt fittings are made from brass. Three attached acorns on the front of the horn grip. No chipping. The clamshell crossguard bears the gilt emblem of the Garde du Corps regiment. 

Brown leather scabbard with brass fittings. Minor dents on the lower fitting. Including a small hunting knife that was carried in the pocket on the front of the scabbard. 

Length forestry dagger: 56 cm.

Length hunting knife: 18 cm.
