Wartime Saxon fieldgrey spike helmet. Other ranks. It looks to be taken home as a war souvenir by a Belgian soldier on 9. November 1918 as a period time note to the liner could say.
No extra holes. Original attached insignia. Grey painted front badge and spike. Leather chin strap. Maker marked and depot stamps as well as a size 55,5 stamp.
Saxon and national cockade period-time repainted. Removable spike.
