Spike helmet

Description

A post 1945 modified (!) spike helmet for a Saxon officer and "Generalstab" member. Possibly a helmet for a Saxon Pionier officer originally with added enamelled general's emblem by a collector. The emblem itself was certainly re-enamelled to the blue ring!

Original leather corpus with "halbrund" (half-rund) visor instead of a correct angular one as a Generalstab officer should wear.

Original chain, cockades and spike. Leather sweat-band with fine silk lining. No extra holes.

Nice condition.

Still a nice helmet using original parts!
