Very fine high-quality award. Enameled. "900" silver hallmark to the small ring. Unmarked, however, mainly made by Godet, Berlin and Deschler, München. No chips or damage. Including the full-size neck ribbon.
Textbook case of issue. Black velvet inlay. "Orden vom Deutschen Adler Verdienstkreuz 1. Stufe" (this title was used from 1937-1939) printed to the silk lining. Red outside leather. Sunken gilt national eagle printed to the top. Gold lines. Opening and closing correctly. Slight signs of use to the bottom.
