VIEW DESCRIPTION

Large (“Schmuck”) special document for a War Merit Cross 1st Class, 1939, to Dr.-Ing. Erich von Holt on May 12, 1943.

Official ink signature Adolf Hitler and facsimile signature Meissner. Embossed Seal.

Also present the War Merit Cross 1st class in its case of issue. The brass-based cross is frosty silvered with polished highlights. Mint condition.

Dr. von Holt was also recipient of the Dr. Fritz Todt Price in silver, which he was awarded on February 8, 1944.

He invented an improved Blasting Cartridge in 1955.
