Description

Army officers' sword made by Carl Eickhorn from the Field Marshall series, pattern 1735 - Derfflinger.

Georg von Derfflinger was a Field Marshall in the army of Brandenburg-Prussia during and after the Thirty Years' War.
The sword is in very nice overall condition with a dove head design and a highly detailed handle. Some gold gilt is still left in the grooves. Grip wires are intact.
The scabbard has original black paint with some corrosion visible.
Very clean nickel-plated blade with the Eickhorn logo stamped on the back.
The saber is complete with a green leather army portepee that is torn on the front and with a nice long brown leather hanger with steel attributes.
