An excellent nickel-plated steel blade showing the etching "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit", flanked by two national eagles. "Original Carl Eickhorn" maker marked on reverse with the mark used from 1935-1941. Blade shows slight glide marks.
Handle features black bakelite grips with clean nickel plated fittings showing the tiniest of surface scratches. Lug slide retains the red felt wadding. Original black-painted steel scabbard with most paint remaining. Comes with an early brown leather frog that appears to have been backed in felt which is now mostly gone. Comes with portepee in "Jägergrün Waffenfarbe".
