An excellent and very rare so-called "Abschussstock" of the Luftwaffe officer G. Sturm who served with several fighter squadrons.

Wooden stick with a silver-plated eagle's head pommel and metal tip. The tip should show a 20mm bullet of a MG 151. Below the pommel is a metal ring with his name "G. Sturm" (engraved). There are five silver-plated metal acorns attached to a leather cord. These show the units in which he served - Jagdgeschwader 2, 3, 7, 27, and 51.

There are 24 metal rings in the middle, each ring representing an enemy aircraft that has been shot down. Hence the name of the stick.
