Bavaria - Merit Order of the Bavarian Crown Grand Cross Set
Description
This grand cross set was probably made after 1918. The cross is based on gilded bronze and enamel while the star is made from silver, gilded silver and enamel and comes with a later sash.
The cross and star are in almost immaculate condition. While the cross is unmarked, there are markings on the star. The needle shows a “SILBER” mark and inside the silver content mark “900”.
Wonderful replacement set of a rare Bavarian Civil Decoration that was only awarded 473 times in total.
