The star is made from gold, silver, and enamel. The avers is finely crafted and in mint condition. Very rare for a star to be as early as this is. The reverse feature besides an intact needle system for wear the makers plaque of the jeweler Elchinger/Hausinger in Munich. There is an etched spot on the reverse medallion border and some minor repairs to the prongs holding the avers application in place.

The later court jeweler Julius Elchinger was Adam Hausinger’s successor.

This star is a masterpiece of workmanship. Very elaborate decoration with much detail. Only 131 sets were awarded in total.
