Very rare Waffen-SS M42 combat helmet issued with a single SS decal. The helmet was period time overpainted with fieldgrey color - most probably in the field. Bits of sawdust were mixed into the paint to camouflage the shell. The color of the paint is more a brown-green camo paint than a standard fieldgrey color.
Period time applied SS rune decal which is still about 75-80%.
Period time applied lining with all rivets unopened. Sweat stains. Original cord in place. Soft chin strap in well worn condition.
There is a size stamp, however, it is barely readable. The size of the liner should be 59/60.
"EF66" maker and size marked to the shell. The lot number looks to be "1276". Spots of white color to the inside.
