This is a German wooden box for containing spare parts for the 150cm anti-aircraft searchlight used by the Germans throughout WW2 with their anti-aircraft defenses. The box retains most of its tan painted finish and has two folding metal handles on each end. There are three recessed steel hinges screwed to the rear of the box attached to the lid and there are eight steel reinforcing plates to the corners of the box for protection. The box is stenciled in black to the lid of the box with the details of the content. The box retains a spray applied field camouflage finish in green. The lid is marked on the inside with the Waffenamt. A very nice and interesting camouflaged box.
