A very nice and very rare Waffen-SS first model camouflage helmet cover. Produced in one of the earliest and most desirable patterns referred to as « lateral plane tree ». Constructed from a smooth linen based cotton material. Both spring and fall sides exhibit strong, contrasting and vivid colors. The cover retains all its springs and rocker clips in place and factory attached, the springs are still functional. The helmet cover is photographed on a helmet shell in size 64, it is a size « 2 » (medium). It is in overall excellent condition.
