  If we don’t hear from you within 24 hours, we will send an invoice choosing the payment and shipping options which we think are the most comfortable ones to you. Chile - miniature of the dress sword of General Bernardo O’Higgins - Hörster

Description

A so-called "Halbminaitur" (51.5 cm) of the dress sword of the Chilean General Bernardo O’Higgins (1778-1842). Made by the German manufacturer E.&F. Hörster, Solingen (probably after 1945).

Clean nickel-plated steel blade showing the maker's mark of Hörster. The blade was repaired on the top side. Probably it was broken. Please see the pictures.

Gold-plated handle fittings with mother-of-pearl grip scales. No chipping. The clamshell guard bears the national coat of arms of Chile. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with gold-plated fittings. It has no dents.
