U-Flottille Pola: was a flotilla of submarines of the German Imperial Navy that was stationed in Pola and Cattaro on the Adriatic Sea during the First World War and operated in the Mediterranean.

Aviso "Grille": The Aviso Grille was a Navy ship and at the same time a state yacht that was available to Adolf Hitler and his leadership for private and representative purposes. At the start of the war in 1939, she laid mines off Wilhelmshaven and became one of the first German warships deployed in British waters when she laid mines in the Thames Estuary. On the night of January 14, 1940, the Cricket rammed the small Danish freighter Axel off Kiel, which sank shortly afterwards. Painted in navy gray late in 1942, the Grille was used as the staff ship and headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief of the Kriegsmarine, Grand Admiral Erich Raeder, in the Norwegian Sea and stationed in Narvik. From spring 1944, Frigate Captain Reinhard Suhren was in command of the Grille over the German submarines stationed in Narvik, Harstad, Hammerfest and Trondheim and operating in the Norwegian Sea.
