Extremely rare neck ribbon for the 1939 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross. Mainly used for exhibition pieces. The Grand Cross was awarded only once to Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring.

AWARD CRITERIA
The Grand Cross was awarded for outstanding deeds which influence the course of the war in a decisive way. Only Adolf Hitler could award the Grand Cross.
MANUFACTURERS
The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross was produced solely by C. E. Juncker in the versions “800” and “800 L/12”.
AWARD NUMBERS
The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded only once to Hermann Göring. Several unissued examples were found in Schloss Klessheim.
AWARD DOCUMENTS
The awardee received a formal document.
WEARING METHOD
The Grand Cross was worn around the neck on a wider red white and black ribbon which came within a red award case together with a wider ribbon.
