Saxon helmet M1890/94 from tombak as worn by EM and NCO of the Gardereiter-Regiment. German silver fittings. Made in 1915 by G.Osang based in Dresden.

German silver (Neusilber) star with separately attached EM type of crest. German silver spike base with tombak spike. One prong missing. Tombak chinscales (curved) attached to the correct buttons M91. "Reich" and "Land" cockade original but probably attached at a later time.

Both visors with original paint. Black and green. Maker marked "Osang" to the inside as well as "1915" dated. Size "55" marked. "G.R." unit marked to the reinforcement bar fo the front visor.

Professionally replaced leather liner. 

Including a matching helmet container and a framed period time reservist's picture (original glass) of the veteran. Size: 53cm x 45cm.

A very rare set in good condition.
