Description

Photo album and certificates to Funkmaat Fritz Megow. He served as a "Funker" radio operator on a minesweeper.

Certificate to Minesweeper War Badge. Issued on 20. May 1942. Originally signed by Konteradmiral Walter Kastel.

Certificate to 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords. Issued on 30. January 1945. Originally signed by Vizeadmiral and Admiral der K.-Verbände Hellmuth Heye (Knight's Cross winner).

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 1. March 1945. Originally signed by Vizeadmiral and Admiral der K.-Verbände Hellmuth Heye (Knight's Cross winner).

Vizeadmiral Hellmuth Heye (1895-1970) was the commanding admiral of the "Kleinkampfverbände der Kriegsmarine", known as "Kleinkampfmittel" or "K.-Verbände". He got the command on 20. April 1944. A very rare autography!

Furthermore the photo album of Funkmaat Fritz Megow. The album comes with roughly 124 photos. It documents his Kriegsmarine service onboard very nice. A few shots where he wears the Minesweeper War Badge. Including an excellent portrait photo of him with his brother. His brother is wearing a Luftwaffe tropical tunic with the blue "AFRIKA" cuff title.

A nice small grouping!
