Description

An excellent Heer General's visor cap made by Robert Lubstein. It is "EREL SONDERKLASSE EXTRA" marked to the intact celluloid diamond. Finest gold color silk lining. Intact sweat-band with minor patina and signs of wear. Again, "EREL" maker marked.

The cap is a rare "Frischluft" example sold by EREL. It comes with a ventilation hole to both, the cap band and the cockade. Both insignia, the eagle and the wreath badge are perfectly matching in patina and finish and are certainly period time attached. The silver finish comes with a lovely patina.
Please note that earlier General's visor caps were indeed worn with silver insignia. Erwin Rommel had worn a cap like this for example.

Lovely gold color bullion piping nicely matching with the cap's chin cord.

No moth damage. A few tiny bites if you check closely.

Excellent shape. Extremely rare. Size 56.
