Prussian sabre to a soldier serving with Feldartillerie-Regiment von Scharnhorst (1. Hannoversches) Nr. 10.
An excellent etched blade to three sides showing fine ornaments as well as military motifs. Furthermore two inscriptions "Feld.Art.Regt.v.Scharnhorst(1.Hannov) No.10." and "Peninsula - Waterloo - Göhrde". Slight stains.
Nickel-plated iron hilt fittings. A leather finished wooden grip. Removed wire wrapping. "10.A.r.2.80" stamped on the crossguard (= 10. Artillerie-Regiment and weapon number "80"). Nickel-plated steel scabbard. Again "10.A.r.2.23/80" stamped. Both screws on the top are missing. No dents. Number matching!
An overall matching sabre!
