Prussian sabre to a member serving with Niedersächsisches Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 46. Made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen.
A nice etched blade to three sides. It shows fine ornaments and military motives as well as the inscription "Niedersächs. Feldartill. Reg. No. 46" (blued background). "Carl Eickhorn" maker marked.
Nickel-plated iron hilt fittings. A leather finished wooden grip. "46.A.6.43." stamped on the langet (= 6.Batterie/Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 46, weapon number 43).
Anodized steel scabbard. Also "46.A.6.43" as well as "3" stamped. Furthermore "6.43.3" stamped on the throat. No dents.
Slight signs of wear. Good condition.
