Personal grave sash of Staatsminister Hermann Esser (1900-1981). Esser was an early member of the NSDAP. Already in 1919, he joined the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, which was renamed NSDAP shortly afterward. His NSDAP membership number was 881. Furthermore, an early follower and friend of Adolf Hitler. During the Third Reich, he was the Minister of State of the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda as well as a member of the Reichstag.
The grave sash is constructed of a crimson silk ribbon. Silver lettering "Letzter Gruss Staatsminister Esser". Attached silver-wire metal fringes on both ends. Furthermore a black swastika on a white circle. Multi-piece construction. Length: 270 cm. Nice condition 2+. Hard to find!
