The album begins on 9. May 1940 and documents the service of an infantryman serving with 211. Infanterie-Division.
It shows portrait photos of the officers of the division, Generalmajor Kurt Renner, Gauleiter Josef Grohé, Generaloberst Richard Ruoff (Knight's Cross winner), Westwall, Fort Boncelles, destroyed foreign vehicles, destroyed buildings, aerial photos, French POWs, Iron Cross award ceremony and photos of Verdun. Including ten photos of he so ca-called "Compiègne Wagon" (in June 1940, France's surrender to the German Reich was signed there). Handwritten notes inside.
