Description

Document and medal grouping to Zugführer and SS-Hauptscharführer Karl Lange serving with 9. Kompanie / SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 4 „Der Führer“. Lange was killed in action on 14.7.43. Part of the grouping are two photographs of his and his soldier's graves. His name is written to the center of the board.

His company leader SS-Obersturmführer Hans Jammervoll wrote a letter to his mother on day after his death explaining that Lange was killed. He was burried near Lutschki, North of Belgorod. He describes that he was killed during close combat against the Russians.

There is a 4.7.1943 dated letter sent from Karl Lange to his mother. Probably his very last letter.
