Description

An untouched family purchased grouping to the later commender of Wehrmacht Kavallerie-Regiment 17. He served with the Bavarian cavalry pre 1918. Please see other lots at auction to the same officer.

-

Period time cardboard box where most of this Oberst's gear was stored when found. This lot contains the actual box as well as a nice lot of early Wehrmacht insignia for an Oberst and commander of Kavarllerie-Regiment 17 (early Reiter-Regiment 17).

Three pair of clearly worn Oberst Kav.Rgt.17 shoulder boards. No moth damage. Gilt cyphers and rank pips.

One set of unworn cavalry officer's collar tabs

Two long field ribbon bars identifying him as a Bavarian officer and long time service Wehrmacht officer award the Iron Cross 2nd Class during WW1.

A thin aiguillette (damaged).
