Description

Late privately purchased visor to infantry officer Gottfriend Götzenauer as well as his zinc ID tag. The unit shown is 2./Inf.Ers.Btl.67. This would not be his field unit.

Two fieldpost letters (parts of it) underneath the sweat-band to adjust the size of the cap. They are February and April 1945 dated and addressed to Leutnant Gottfriend Götzenauer, the owner of the ca. Götzenauer spend time in the Reserve-Lazarett Rakowitz at that time. Unfortunately there is no Feldpostnummer noted.

Re-attached insignia. Wreath badge attached by hand. Zinc eagle with missing prongs sewn to the cap. A clear shadow of a previously attached cloth eagle visibile.

White piping. Bullion officer's chin strap.

Silk lining with some damage. Broken celluloid diamond. Nicely worn sweat-band.

Some minor moth bites.
