Generalleutnant Ferdinand Schaal signed the certificates to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class and General Assault Badge. He was the commander of the 10. Panzer-Divison and awarded the Knight's Cross. Schaal was also involved in the unsuccessful 20 July plot against Hitler.
