Heer Gebirgsjäger mountain cap for officers
Description
A privately purchased mountain cap for officers. Other than an M43 field cap, a mountain cap is constructed with a short visor and comes with many different buttons variants made from bakelite, horn, Kunststoff etc...
Lining: Example with fine silk lining. No markings.
Insignia: removed
Edelweiss badge: a shadow of an unknown triangle badge to the side visible
No moth damage.
Important: There looks to be many piece of broken bakelite or shellack inside which looks to have been used instead of cardboard to give the visor its shape.
