Description

SS-Hauptsturmführer Alois Kälsch served during World War II with the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA) and as commander of the Sicherungspolizei (Sipo) and Sicherheitsdienst (SD) in Copenhagen and Dnjepropetrowsk.

A member of the Adolf Hitler Jungsturm from August 1923 to November 1923. Awarded the Honor Badge of the Adolf Hitler Jungsturm in Bronze. In 1926 he joined the HJ and served there until June 1941. His last rank within the HJ was Gebietsführer of the HJ in Franconia. In May 1934 he became NSDAP Gaustellenleiter in the office of Gauleiter Julius Streicher and was also his adjutant. Streicher was his best man at his wedding on 24. November 1936. On 10.9.1938 he joined the SS and served as an SS-Obersturmführer with SS-Oberabschnitt Main. His SS membership number was 309 716. From November 1940 NSDAP Kreisleiter and from 30.1.1942 NSDAP Hauptabschnittleiter.

Certificate to 1939 War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords. Issued by the "Befehlshaber der Sicherungspolizei Schwarzes Meer" on 20.4.1944. Facsimile by Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler. 

Including the matching badges. Both are attached to a board and can be removed. Also two ribbons for the 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class (the cross was attached with an incorrect ribbon).
