SS-Hauptsturmführer Alois Kälsch served during World War II with the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA) and as commander of the Sicherungspolizei (Sipo) and Sicherheitsdienst (SD) in Copenhagen and Dnjepropetrowsk.
A member of the Adolf Hitler Jungsturm from August 1923 to November 1923. Awarded the Honor Badge of the Adolf Hitler Jungsturm in Bronze. In 1926 he joined the HJ and served there until June 1941. His last rank within the HJ was Gebietsführer of the HJ in Franconia. In May 1934 he became NSDAP Gaustellenleiter in the office of Gauleiter Julius Streicher and was also his adjutant. Streicher was his best man at his wedding on 24. November 1936. On 10.9.1938 he joined the SS and served as an SS-Obersturmführer with SS-Oberabschnitt Main. His SS membership number was 309 716. From November 1940 NSDAP Kreisleiter and from 30.1.1942 NSDAP Hauptabschnittleiter.
The lot consists of period time hand-written notes by him and numerous postwar ID cards as well as photos. Among them is a document sent to the POW Camp Moosburg. It shows his career very well. Dated "3.11.1947". SS-Hauptsturmführer Alois Kälsch was imprisoned there. In addition his pocket watch.
