A rare NPEA Student's Dagger. Worn by a student of the National Political Institutes of Education based in Schulpforta (Saxony-Anhalt). Known as "NAPOLA".
The blade is etched with the motto "Mehr sein als scheinen.". It has slight stains on both sides. "Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin" maker marked (or distributor?). Brown wooden handle, similarly designed as a SA Dagger but without emblems. Correct aluminum fittings. The upper crossguard bears the name of the school "N.P.E.A. Schulpforta-Ostern 1937" (engraved).
Original olive-brown painted steel scabbard without dents. Both original screws and frog stud are present. Including the unusual incorrect (period time?) brown leather frog.
