Two photo albums of SS-Unterscharführer Heinz Schiebel serving with Ersatz-Sturmbann SS-Totenkopf-Dvision (SS-VT), SS-Pionier-Ausbildungs- und Ersatz-Bataillon 1 and SS-Polizei-Regiment 3.
The albums show his military training and document his war service in Poland and France. Photos of the front, the everyday life of soldiers during the war, destroyed buildings, French prisoners of war, shots of the graves of fallen German soldiers, and nice photos in the black service tunic. Unterscharführer Schiebel also comletetd training with the Ersatz-Sturmbann SS-Totenkopf-Dvision from 17. June until 1. September 1939. Among them is an excellent group photo of the participants of the training. Furthermore four nice portrait photos of him. Most of the photos have hand-written captions. Schiebel wrote also his memories in one of the albums. There are 12 pages full of hand-written notes. Dated "March 1946".
