Description

Clean nickel-plated steel blade with the maker's mark of Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Sabre model # 1706 "Scharnhorst".

Gold-plated brass handle fittings with a lion head as pommel. It has red inlaid glass eyes. The front langet bears the national eagle. Black celluloid grip with intact wire wrapping. Original black-finished steel scabbard. It has no dents but the scabbard ring attachment is slightly bent. The throat is loose because both screws are missing.

Length: 102 cm.

Includes the storage bag and officer's portepee.
