Description

Heer officer's lion head sabre made by Carl Eickhorn

Blade is etch with decoration including national eagle, crost grenade and bayonet and motto "Die Wehmacht Siegt an allen Fronten!" 

Gold-plated aluminum handle fittings with a lion head pommel showing some patina and loss of finish. Comes with two inlaid red glass eyes. The front langet bears the national eagle. "Ges.Gesch." marked on the bottom of the crossguard. Black celluloid grip with intact wire wrapping

Black-painted steel scabbard appears to have been repained at some point. Free of dents.

Surface rust at tip of blade and on reverse  

Blade marked with Carl Eichorn logo. Crossguard marked Ges. Gesch.
