Description

A very nice 1st pattern "old style" visor cap for a medical officer with a soft leather visor. Collectors call this type of cap a "crusher cap". Very rare to find from medical troops.

Piping: "Kornblumenblau" for medical corps.
Insignia: Machine-woven officer's cap eagle attached by hand and wreath badge attached by machine. The correct type of insignia for this cap.

Sweat-band: heavily damaged and period time fixed with paving strips.
Lining: Fine silk lining with heavy signs of wear and age. Several stains. Unreadable manufacturer stamp, no size marked.
Visor: Leather with heat damage to the lacquered outside, but still soft.

Very rare, but heavily worn cap with several moth bites and some typical field repairs.
